About our company
Kartex is a family business that was founded in 1993 in Jabłonka Orawska in southern Poland. Its founder is Mr Antoni Karlak. You find us in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, Nowotarskie district, municipality of Jabłonka on the route from Kraków to Chyżne (National Road 7).
We have been operating continuously for 30 years in the wooden packaging sector. Our main product are wooden drums for cables, wires, ropes and fiber optic cables. We work together with cable manufacturers in Poland and the whole of Europe.
Production characteristics
The cable drums are manufactured to the highest standards used in the packaging industry, including the Polish industrial standard PN-91/0-79353 and the internal operational standards of the individual cable plants and according to individual customer order. As an independent manufacturer of wooden packaging we are certified for the heat treatment of wood packaging material according to IPPC standard. We are equipped with modern machinery, including wood sawing machines, drying kilns and CNC machining centers for the production of wooden drums.
We welcome orders from both individual customers and wholesale buyers.
The drums produced by us are delivered to our customers in via our own trucks.
The drums are manufactured by us from softwood lumber of the highest quality. We offer drums in sizes from 500 to 3200 mm. Upon individual request, we mark the manufactured products in different form (imprinting, labeling, hot-branding, etc.)
We are distinguished by innovation
Kartex has successfully secured funding grants for the project “Implementing new technology into the manufacturing process of cable drums”, which is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the Operational Programme Innovative Economy.
